Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Electrical Hardware Development Engineer for our Arlington, VA lab. Drive innovation in cloud infrastructure hardware, coordinating with FPGA/firmware teams and Senior Hardware Engineers on system interfaces and architectures.

The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance, willingness to obtain polygraph, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver next-generation hardware solutions for AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Participate in system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements
• Support new product introduction (NPI) processes with Senior Hardware Engineers
• Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define system interfaces and requirements
