Job summary

Flowserve is seeking an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to support electrical PCB design, packaging, and actuation technology for a globally manufactured product platform. Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, sales, and engineering teams.

The role involves design validation, testing (EMC/ EMI, functional), and documentation to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical PCB Design.
• Experience with electrical design and development.
• PCB Schematic and Layout (Altium a plus)
• Analog/Digital designs
• C/C++ programming experience (a plus)
• Design for manufacturing and assembly
• Understanding of wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with electric actuators a plus
• Knowledge of embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART) a plus
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet) a plus
• Familiarity with design and operation of AC and DC electric motors a plus
• Hands-on experience with single-phase and three-phase electric systems a plus
• Must be U.S. citizen, NOFORN required.
• 0-25% domestic or international travel

Responsibilities

• Perform electronics design and development including analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, functional validation and verification testing.
• Maintain BOMs for electronic circuit boards currently in production including obsolescence management, component analysis, testing, and cost reductions.
• Manage 2-D wiring or CAD drawings of electrical components in main/ supporting assemblies.
• Design challenges include micro-controller based designs, electrical packaging, motors, analog circuitry, and power electronics.
• Perform tests on new or redesigned PCBs including functional, EMC/EMI, and certification tests.
• Design, model, analyze, fabricate and test valves for orders and prototypes; investigate improvements and make recommendations.
• Provide manufacturing with BOMs, product support, and design procedures.
• Review and approve work; train other engineers in subjects and procedures.
• Assist manufacturing with new production; provide production and field support during launches; support Sales/Marketing for new products.
• Provide technical support to Flowserve globally on actuation technology.
• Ensure quality and integrity through validation and adherence to policies.
• Document projects, designs, test procedures, and results to meet cost/time goals.
