Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to own hardware development from requirements to production for high-reliability PCBAs in mission-critical environments. The role is based in Melbourne, FL or Greenville, SC with a salary range of $110,000 to $150,000 annually.

The engineer will lead schematic and layout, power distribution, signal integrity, EMI/EMC-conscious design, and lab bring-up. Strong digital/mixed-signal expertise and DoD clearance ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant electronic design experience; 7–10 years preferred.
• US Person required; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Melbourne, FL or Greenville, SC location (not remote).

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development from requirements and architecture through schematic design and board bring-up.
• Develop hardware requirements, block diagrams, interface definitions, and design trade studies.
• Perform schematic capture and guide PCB layout activities including placement, routing, and DFM/DFT.
• Support prototype production, vendor coordination, BOM creation, and issue resolution.
• Lead board bring-up, debug, and validation testing with lab instruments.
• Troubleshoot at circuit, component, and system levels and implement corrective actions.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and reports with traceability to requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, manufacturing, and test teams during integration and production transition.
• Contribute to design process improvements and hardware standards.
