Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based electrical foreman to contribute to solar field construction. This hands-on role supports the electrical scope and requires outdoor work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include trenching, conduit, cable installations, SCADA wiring, and on-site testing. The candidate should have solar construction experience and be able to train others while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent education; field-based role requiring outdoor work.
• Experience on solar construction projects preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to train others on underground electrical work and safety practices.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Construct solar field components: DC/ MV trenches and conduit, cable installs and terminations.
• Install SCADA equipment, wiring, MV/LV terminations, and switchgear elements.
• Support electrical scope across project: insulation, testing, labeling and documentation.
• Meet safety standards; supervise and train crew on underground work and procedures.
• Perform megger, IV curve, VOC/VLF, and other electrical tests; assist with surveys/as-built.

Skills/Abilities

• Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork

• Provides timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.

• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
