Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an Electrical General Foreman to lead field crews on solar and related electrical installations. This field role requires hands-on supervision of trenching, cabling, splicing, fiber work, and SCADA-related tasks, with a focus on safety and timely delivery.

You will train team members, enforce standards, and document field decisions while coordinating with supervisors. Outdoor work in variable weather and strong teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar construction projects preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong safety focus and teamwork, with leadership ability.
• Willing to train others on underground methods and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crews on DC/ MV trenching, cable installs, and splicing.
• Oversee Cab/Conduit installs, fiber termination, and SCADA equipment wiring.
• Ensure quality, safety, and documentation of field decisions.
• Coordinate with supervisors and keep Tier Boards and production tracking up to date.
• Uphold Signal's core principles and One Team Approach in daily work.

Position Summary:

This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the electrical scope.

*Electrical General Foreman must be able to train others on all aspects of Underground. *

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork
• Actively embodies Signal’s Core Principles and the One Team Approach: including planning, communication, and collaboration – especially modeling dispute resolution
• Provides timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education:

• GED or equivalent education
