Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an experienced electrical laborer for construction sites. You will read blueprints, interpret diagrams, and apply electrical theory to practical tasks while working around high voltage equipment, and installing conduit per NEC standards.

The role requires a Journeyman/Master Electrician license, a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or industrial environments, and willingness to travel up to 90% nationwide. Safety, teamwork, and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Minimum Journeyman, Master Electrician or equivalent license required (any state).
• NCCER certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and wiring diagrams; apply electrical theory to practical applications.
• Work on and around high voltage energized equipment; install various types of Electrical Conduit systems according to NEC.
• Follow all unit electrical / maintenance practices.
• Work in manufacturing environment including climbing stairs and catwalks, and extreme heat/cold conditions.
• Work rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations; wear all personal protective equipment.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of journeymen and helpers.
• Responsible for time entry sheets.
