Job summary

Canyon State Electric in Prescott, AZ is seeking a full-time General Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee electricians on electrical construction projects. You will act as the reference point for workers and supervisors, driving project completion with a safety-first mindset.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of NFPA 70, reading plans, budgeting, and the ability to plan weeks ahead. You will supervise crews of 20+, ensure compliance with standards, manage material buy-outs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial foreman electrical experience.
• Experience leading crews of 20+ employees.
• Experience working in data centers and high-rise projects preferred.
• Advanced skills in reading plans, submittals, and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 and current electrical codes and installation methods.
• Well-versed in the installation of power systems—lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks.
• Ability to order and track materials, perform job cost projections, and develop as-built documents.
• Proficient in all construction software as required.
• Clean background and driving record.
• Ability to run projects $5M and larger.
• Must be able to reach overhead, lift 75 pounds, and push and pull materials.
• Must be able to work in various positions, e.g., stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, etc.
• Work is regularly performed outdoors with temperatures exceeding one hundred degrees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field production activities to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, teamwork, pride, and development of the team.
• Ensure work is performed according to company standards and project specifications, including planning and managing labor, materials, and production on electrical construction projects.
• Create a material buy-out before the job begins.
• Plan work and labor requirements for the project for at least three weeks.
• Complete As-Built drawings and order materials once a week.
• File daily reports and report all incidents.
• Manage all project close-out processes and budget control (manage the cost on the site).
• Communicate efficiently with the Project Management team and the customer/General Contractor.
• Draft RFIs and submit them to the PM team.
• Enforce all HR/company policies, safety policies, and perform disciplinary action with the crew as needed.
• Enter and approve timecards for the assigned crew.
