Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrician Supervisor to manage electrical wiring, fixtures and control equipment installation per customer specs and blueprints. You will supervise linemen and helpers, plan wiring, and ensure safe, high-quality work on site.

Responsibilities include estimating time/material costs, enforcing safety rules, training staff, and performing on-site supervision. Background in construction electrical work and strong reading of blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Completed Construction Electrician Course or 1 year of field experience as Electrician Helper (or 3 years as Helper).
State/local certifications may be required.
Able to read, write and understand directions from supervisor.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
Drug test and background check may be required.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and supervise work of linemen, electricians and helpers.
Plan wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures per blueprints.
Conduct periodic inspections with voltmeter/multimeter and supervise on-site safety.
Estimate time and material costs for projects and track expenses.
Explain company policy and enforce safety rules and conditions.
Train and instruct subordinates on procedures.
