Position Description

Perform supervisory responsibilities for managing all aspects of the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment according to customer specifications and blueprints, in a safe and timely manner with the best quality possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise work of linemen, electricians, and helpers engaged in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Plan wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings, and sketches.
• Conduct periodic inspections using test equipment, such as voltmeter and ohmmeter, and provide on‑site supervision of hazardous or unusual work.
• Estimate time and material cost for projects and track cost and job records.
• Explain company policy and enforce safety rules, regulations, and working conditions.
• Train and instruct subordinates on detailed procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completed a Construction Electrician course at a technical or trade school with at least one year of experience in the field, or a minimum of three years of experience as an Electrical Helper.
• May require state or local certifications.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with supervisors/co‑workers and understand directions from supervisors.
• Use basic math, calculator, tape measure, and operation of voltmeter/multimeter.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand, and reach repetitively.
• Work in hot, cold, damp, or cramped environments.
• Will need to pass a drug test and criminal background check based on job location/requirements.
• Expected to work 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work.
