Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. The Foreman will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, directing installation, alterations and repairs while leading and mentoring the team.

Responsibilities include scheduling manpower, developing material lists from layouts, ensuring NEC and project specs are met, and coordinating with supervision to maintain quality, safety, and production goals on site.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Reads and understands blueprints and contract-related documents of other trades on site.
• Strong communication with other trades and coordination with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside crew to ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating that to the team.
• Ensure all work is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders as required.
• Read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
