Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. The Foreman will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, performing installation, repair and maintenance while leading, mentoring and evaluating the crew.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong blueprint literacy, and coordination with other trades to meet project specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with capability to grow in this area and lead a team of roughly five workers
• Basic skills in reading blueprints and project-related documents
• Good communication with other trades and supervision
• Willingness to learn BlueBeam, Navisworks, and related programs to review project plans
• Participates in leadership training and strives to improve leadership and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Ensure work quality meets highest standards
• Develop manpower schedule for the team
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating requirements to the team
• Ensure crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and wiring
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders
• Read and interpret project specs, blueprints and schematics
• Layout work from drawings including underground work
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits
