Job summary

Cogentanalytics seeks an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead field operations on commercial projects across North Carolina. You will oversee installation, maintenance, and on-site problem solving, ensuring high-quality electrical work and on-time project delivery.

Join a hands-on leadership team responsible for blueprint interpretation, safety, and collaboration with multiple trades while maintaining strong client communication and documentation on busy job sites.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.
  • Experience with commercial build-outs, renovations, and service contracts.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with NEC and local codes and regulations.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and other trades.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring in commercial buildings.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to map layouts and ensure spec compliance.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure safety and peak performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical problems to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other trades to keep projects on schedule and budget.
  • Maintain safety standards and conduct site safety audits.
  • Maintain records including daily logs and safety reports.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in commercial buildings.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to map out system layouts and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and tests of electrical systems and components to ensure peak performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other trades to keep jobs on schedule and within budget, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain strict safety standards and comply with all regulations and site requirements, conducting safety audits and addressing potential hazards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients on job sites, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or questions.
