Electrical Foreman

Job Responsibilities of a Foreman
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, controls, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Plan layout and installation according to job specifications.
  • Prepare sketches and follow blueprints for wiring and equipment placement.
  • Place conduit, including bending pipes, pulling wires or cables, and completing circuits.
  • Install cable/wiring trays, trapezes, and similar devices.
  • Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Test electrical systems and circuits with appropriate equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards and defects.
  • Use electrician’s hand tools and power tools skillfully.
  • Adhere to Electrical Code standards.
  • Direct electricians and train helpers and apprentices.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager according to the scope of the GC Contract.
  • Follow all safety policies and guidelines.
Minimum Experience Requirements of a Foreman

10+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience working with an electrical contractor/subcontractor in a commercial or industrial construction environment, plus at least 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Additional Requirements and/or Expectations of a Foreman
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Pass a mandatory drug screen.
  • Perform satisfactorily on a skills and capabilities assessment.
  • Provide at least two (2) professional references.
  • Own and supply basic personal tools of the trade.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications for a Foreman
  • Referrals from current Fountain employees.
  • Formal training through an accredited apprenticeship, trade, or technical school program.
  • Relevant licenses and certifications, including minimum OSHA-10.
