Job summary

Rio Grande Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a technician with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with Electronics certification or equivalent, plus utility experience preferred.

You will work with distribution and transmission equipment, use test meters and related tools, and maintain safety certifications. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office and able to operate satellite radio systems, test equipment, and perform installations, inspections and testing of metering

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with Certificate in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous related utility experience preferred.
• Must be familiar with equipment used in distribution and transmission systems such as reclosers, regulators, capacitors and other equipment.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification required or to be obtained.
