Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power distribution equipment. You will work hands-on with a range of systems and deliver exceptional service on-site for customers in the region.

Responsibilities include testing transformers, breakers, switchgear, and relays; maintaining safety standards; and providing timely field reports. Travel locally and regionally, with occasional overnight assignments, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; can substitute 2+ years of relevant electrical field experience.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and safety mindset.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Proficiency with industrial electrical testing equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and pass background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related gear.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety standards.
• Keep accurate daily reports and documentation up to date.
• Care for and manage company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
