Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon, a leading provider of transformer and power distribution solutions across North America, seeks a Field Service Technician in the Power Solutions Group to support utilities and industrial sites. You will inspect, test, and maintain electrical distribution equipment and respond to customer needs with safety in mind.

You’ll travel locally and regionally, interact with diverse equipment, and uphold Sunbelt Solomon’s commitment to safety and reliability in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; 5 years experience may substitute on relevant projects.
• Strong communication and commitment to customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Experience using industrial electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including emergency calls when required.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following safety standards.
• Maintain daily reports and proper documentation.
• Check in/out and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally with periodic overnight assignments.
