Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Field Service experience in semiconductor facilities.
• Electrical background with low/high voltage knowledge and industrial electrician practices.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and CMMS for maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment within manufacturing facilities.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using schematics, multimeters, and analysis tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and other industrial equipment.
• Utilize PLCs to diagnose and resolve automation issues.
• Maintain detailed service records using CMMS.
• Support technical sales with equipment specifications and maintenance solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Job description

A global machine manufacturer from East Asia is looking for a Junior Level Field Service Engineer to join their Arizona team. We are looking for someone with about 2 years Field Service Engineer experience in the Semiconductor industry.

The company have been dealing with a wide range of semiconductor machine equipment. You will be working with semiconductor manufacturing machines/tools and inspection process machines for this position.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an Electrical Field Service Technician or Engineer background, and comfortable working with 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on weekdays. Weekends are off. We do not require you to work over time (not so much), so this position offers you salary instead of hourly wage. Please answer your expectation salary when you apply to this position.

This role involves providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for manufacturing facilities and industrial equipment. You will be asked to bring a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and customer service to ensure optimal operational performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities for Field Service Technician / Engineer (Electrical Background):

• Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within manufacturing facilities. (More on Electrical Side).


• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using schematics, multimeters (ohmmeters, ammeters), and analysis skills to identify faults accurately.


• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and other industrial equipment.


• Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and resolve automation issues efficiently.


• Maintain detailed records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).


• Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment specifications and maintenance solutions.


• Collaborate closely with clients to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring safety standards are met or exceeded.


• Other duties are assigned by your managers.

Qualifications for Field Service Technician / Engineer (Electrical Background):

• Previous 2-3 years of working experience in Semiconductor manufacturing facilities.


• Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage, high voltage systems, and industrial electricians' practices.


• Familiarity with schematics, mechanical knowledge, and the use of precision measuring instruments.


• Proficiency in troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding control schematics.


• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis instruments effectively.


• Experience working with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and reporting.


• Excellent customer service skills combined with strong analysis capabilities to resolve technical issues promptly.


• Knowledge of safety procedures related to high voltage systems and industrial maintenance standards.
