Job summary

Equans is seeking a Construction Field Inspector for Washington, DC to supervise subcontractors and ensure reliable operation of the Improved Street Lighting System under PPP. You will oversee safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with DDOT, internal clients, and external partners.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in electrical and commercial construction, strong leadership, and the ability to travel on-site within two hours of notice.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US.
• Pass a background check.
• 3+ years of experience in the electrical field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with streetlight networks is an asset.
• Valid driver's license permitting operation of a vehicle in DC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient execution of lighting maintenance in accordance with the PPP contract.
• Conduct site inspections daily to verify workmanship and compliance with contract and electrical codebook.
• Follow up and perform quality assurance on subcontractor work.
• Analyze system performance and develop improvement tactics.
• Assist in renewal work to identify assets for replacement or upgrade.
• Minimize response times for critical repairs to assets.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and company policies.
• Develop relationships with DDOT, clients and partners to facilitate collaboration.
• Coordinate resources to meet performance, KPIs and contractual obligations.
