Job summary

Atwell, LLC seeks a mid-level Electrical Field Engineer (SCADA) to deliver engineering field services focused on SCADA systems. You will assist with electrical power system design and analysis under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, ensuring quality service on time and within budget.

You will set and test relaying/control systems, integrate IEC61850/DNP3 protocols, and support field testing and commissioning across projects. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; electric power option preferred.
• FE is preferred licensing.
• Knowledge of medium/high voltage power systems with SCADA familiarity.
• Experience with IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS or other SCADA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering field services with a SCADA focus and assist with design/analysis under a PE.
• Set, test, wire and install relaying and control systems (SEL equipment).
• Produce configuration files for IEC61850/GOOSE, DNP3 or other SCADA protocols.
• Travel for field work and collaborate with clients, designers and field staff.
