Job summary

Shimmick Corporation is seeking Electrical Field Engineer Interns for our Summer 2027 internship program based in our Pacific Northwest Division. Exact location is to be determined, but opportunities exist throughout the greater Seattle area.

Expected start is May or June 2027 with an end date in August or September pending the academic schedules. As an intern, you will support field tasks, prepare engineering calculations and drawings, assist with inspections and construction documentation, and

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the intent to continue enrollment after an internship.
Must have completed at least 1 year of study.

Responsibilities

Performing assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria’s to carry out engineering tasks.
Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids.
Assisting with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used.
Assisting with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans.
Coordinating logistics and meetings for project managers.
Attending and taking minutes for the development team as requested.
