Job summary

RMCI, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Technical Engineer - Electrical to support complex project delivery. You will bridge design and field, review electrical packages for constructability, manage RFIs and submittals, and help lead design-build scopes with subconsultants.

This role requires hands-on testing and startup support across engineering and field teams. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience; PE/EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design or construction.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards for large-scale industrial construction.
• Ability to read and evaluate electrical deliverables for errors and coordination issues.
• Familiarity with RFI and submittal review workflows on construction projects.
• Experience with design-build, design-assist, or delegated design delivery models.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical positions for various audiences.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and project management platforms (e.g., Procore).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain documentation under schedule pressure.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identifies design gaps and constructability issues and documents challenges.
• Serves as primary engineering resource bridging design and field operations.
• Reviews electrical design documents for code compliance and constructability; documents comments.
• Manages RFIs and submittals and coordinates with design team and field.
• Supports design-build, delegated design, and design-assist scopes with subconsultants.
• Collaborates with field superintendents to resolve technical issues in real time.
• Maintains technical records per enterprise standards and contributes to engineering standards.
