Job summary

Forsyth County seeks a Maintenance Technician II to support the Facilities Operations Electrical/Electronic maintenance team across 40 county facilities. The role performs preventive, corrective, and general maintenance, including lamp replacements, ballast changes, outlet and switch checks, and breaker diagnostics, with occasional cross-trade assistance.

The successful candidate will work Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00, with possible after-hours on-call; requires ability to read plans, follow

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED and at least one year of experience in the relevant building trade (Electrical).
• A valid driver's license.
• Higher education may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and general maintenance across multiple facilities.
• Change light bulbs, replace ballasts, inspect outlets, switches and breakers.
• Diagnose alarm panels and provide cross-functional support to other trades as needed.
• Follow plans and specifications and supervise the work of others.
