Job summary

M-W Electric Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our project management team in Red Springs, NC. You will prepare estimates, read drawings, and manage bids for commercial electrical work across the Carolinas, collaborating with PMs and field crews to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.

The role requires strong NEC knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating tools like Accubid; a driver’s license and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical construction or estimating experience.
• Associate's Degree preferred (or equivalent).
• Strong NEC knowledge for commercial/industrial systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and one-line diagrams.
• Detail-oriented, organized and bid-focused.
• Familiar with scheduling logic and project sequencing.
• Licensing or driver requirements may apply; NN Electrical License a plus.
• Experience drafting project manuals, quotes and bids; using estimating software including Accubid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for electrical projects.
• Read drawings, specifications and one-line diagrams for bids.
• Use Accubid to prepare proposals and bids for submissions.
• Manage pricing from vendors/subcontractors for competitive packages.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with PMs and field teams to align strategy.
• Track bid activity and ensure timely submission of bids.
