Job summary

NR Consulting seeks a Chief Estimator to lead all electrical estimating activities for complex projects in Charlotte, NC.

The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and field leaders to clarify scope, assess risks, and support project planning.

You will mentor junior estimators, participate in bid reviews, and help shape pricing strategies to win work while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience with Accubid.
• Experience reading blueprints and specifications to prepare cost breakdowns.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and construction methods.
• Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for evaluating quotes and budgets.
• Effective communication and collaboration with PMs, field teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating activities for electrical projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs.
• Review drawings and specifications to clarify scope.
• Mentor estimators and contribute to process improvements.
