Job summary

Granger Construction is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. You will develop detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, review drawings and specs, and collaborate with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

You'll stay current on electrical codes and industry trends, leverage estimating software, and help identify risks and value-engineering opportunities to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or electrician journeyman/master with assoc degree.
• 2–5 years estimating or related construction experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and NEC.
• Proficient with Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, codes, and regulations affecting electrical construction.
