Job summary

Granger Construction is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Preconstruction team in Michigan. You will develop detailed electrical estimates, review plans, and work with project teams to shape projects before construction begins.

The role requires 2–5 years in estimating or related fields, knowledge of electrical systems, NEC familiarity, and proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office. A builder's mindset and proactive problem-solving are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or electrician certification as described.
• 2–5 years in estimating, construction, or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and NEC familiarity.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical cost estimates (labor, materials, equipment).
• Review drawings and specs to quantify scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and teams during preconstruction.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for competitiveness.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving options.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on codes, trends, and regulations affecting electrical construction.
