Job summary

Ace Electric in Sanford, NC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to handle all estimating activities for our division. The role includes analyzing blueprints, preparing cost and expenditure statements, and assisting in budgeting.

Responsibilities cover BOMs, takeoffs, RFIs, and proposals, with collaboration across clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates and efficient bid processes.

Qualifications

• Must have strong estimating and blueprint analysis skills.
• Experience with BOMs and takeoffs is preferred.
• Excellent client and vendor communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical estimating including BOMs, takeoffs, data entry, RFIs and proposals.
• Assist senior estimator to streamline bid processes for each project.
• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness and track actuals as projects progress.
• Consult with clients, vendors and foremen to resolve issues and refine estimates.
• Prepare and maintain vendor/subcontractor directories and cost reports.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems for projects.
