Experience with NEC/NFPA/UL/ISA standards, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documents.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL, and ISA standards.
• Strong cost estimation and budgeting abilities.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in bids.
• Experience with value engineering and bid preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical construction estimates by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, drawings, and related project documentation.
• Identify labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and time requirements for electrical projects.
• Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine conduit and wire lengths, quantities, and installation requirements.
• Calculate labor costs and material costs for projects.
• Prepare and submit competitive project bids in accordance with guidelines and deadlines.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost standards.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, project management, and construction teams during bidding.
