Job summary

LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator for a leading energy construction contractor. You will drive bids for complex industrial projects, estimating electrical, instrumentation, labor, materials, and equipment costs from concept to detailed design.

The role requires 5+ years of E&I estimating in an industrial setting; experience with RNG, renewable energy, or oil & gas is preferred; proficiency with Accubid software; strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&I estimating in an industrial setting.
• Experience with RNG, renewable energy, and/or oil & gas projects preferred.
• Proficient in Accubid estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete E&I estimates from conceptual through detailed design phases, including labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
• Analyze RFPs, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate bid packages for industrial, RNG, renewables, and oil & gas projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff to validate assumptions and align on scope.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risks; clearly communicate to leadership during bid reviews.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid strategy sessions and post-bid analysis to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Maintain an organized database of historical costs, productivity rates, and project data.
