Job summary

Eagle Electrical Services, an EMCOR Company, is currently hiring a Junior Estimator/Estimator in Training in Plain City, Ohio. The role focuses on estimating contract work, interpreting construction documents, and predicting project costs, with close collaboration with Owners and Project Managers.

The ideal candidate will have substantial estimating experience, strong math and documentation skills, and the ability to obtain quotes from subcontractors to support winning bids.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and detail orientation skills are required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years’ experience estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills required.
• Accubid experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take-off, within time deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide liaison support to all internal and external stake holders.
• Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
