Job summary

Join Preston Recruitment as an Electrical Estimator II in Austin, Texas. This role offers the chance to work with a growing electrical contractor and requires 2-4 years of estimating experience.

You'll prepare detailed estimates, review project specifications, and develop bid packages. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness, knowledge of electrical construction methods, and experience with Accubid and LiveCount.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methods required.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and quantity takeoffs.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFQs and RFPs.
• Develop competitive and commercially accurate bid packages.
• Obtain and analyse vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions and potential project risks.
• Participate in estimate reviews and project turnover meetings.
• Support multiple concurrent bids while maintaining accuracy.
