Boutique Recruiting is seeking an Electrical Estimator to own complex bids from takeoff and budgeting through proposal development, with a strong focus on mission-critical healthcare projects in Hartford, CT.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on electrical estimating experience and can manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality. Hybrid work flexibility is available with solid benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years electrical estimating experience (junior level) or 5+ years (senior level)
• Experience managing full estimating lifecycle from takeoff to submission
• Strong knowledge of electrical terminology, docs, scope, labor and material pricing
• Experience handling addendums, revisions, scope questions & competing bids

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical estimates from takeoff through final bid submission for complex healthcare projects
• Perform detailed takeoffs, develop material and labor pricing, establish project buys, and prepare comprehensive bid proposals
• Support front-end budgeting, design development, and preconstruction efforts with general contractors and construction managers
• Manage post-bid activity including addendums, scope questions, clarifications, and bid revisions
• Estimate projects commonly ranging from $1M to $7M while balancing deadlines and changing priorities
• Identify inconsistencies in plans/specs, ask questions, and participate in site walks when needed
• Senior level: mentor estimators, strengthen processes, and drive department improvements
