Job summary

Cummings Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for our Dallas–Fort Worth area projects. You will review plans, calculate costs, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and engineers to prepare accurate bids.

The role requires at least five years in electrical estimating, familiarity with NEC codes, and experience using estimating software. We offer strong benefits, growth opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial/industrial electrical estimating.
Experience estimating projects valued at $3M+.
Thorough knowledge of NEC and local codes.
Experience using industry-leading estimating software.

Responsibilities

Review plans, specs, bid documents to identify bid requirements.
Calculate electrical construction costs from documents.
Consult with clients, vendors, and teams to formulate estimates.
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors on changes to estimates.
Prepare estimates for management planning and scheduling.
Attend job-site walk-throughs to address field conditions affecting bids.
Request quotes from vendors and maintain vendor relationships.
Prepare bid documents with scope letters and adjustments for buy-outs, rates, productivity.
