Job summary

Irby Construction Company seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for utility, infrastructure, and civil projects. The role collaborates with PMs, engineers, and procurement to ensure estimates meet project goals.

You’ll review drawings, perform quantity take-offs with Bluebeam, identify risks, and develop bid documents for EPC-scale data centers and other large projects. Strong Excel and estimating software skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years estimating utility or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, RFQs, drawings to determine scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment.
• Identify high-risk cost areas and contingencies.
• Develop bid clarifications and client proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs with Bluebeam or similar.
• Support handoff to project management post-award.
