Irby Construction Company is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for utility, infrastructure, and civil projects. The role collaborates with project managers, engineers, and procurement to ensure alignment with requirements and company goals.

Your background includes 5+ years in utility estimating, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in key estimating tools such as Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in utility or infrastructure estimating (gas, electric, civil).
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, RFQs, drawings, and specs to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Develop bid clarifications and proposal documents for client submissions.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and budgeting during early project stages.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, and procurement for bid accuracy and alignment.
