Job summary

Morley Moss, Inc. in Sunnyvale, TX is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The role reports to the Preconstruction and Estimating department manager and prefers candidates with prior electrical construction estimating experience.

The position requires strong takeoff skills, detailed cost analysis, and coordination with engineers, owners, and subcontractors to deliver timely, accurate estimates. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Accubid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in the electrical construction industry.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC and project management/document control software.

Responsibilities

• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on cost estimates.
• Review quotes from subcontractors for accurate scope of work per plans and specs.
• Maintain relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors and subcontractors.
