Job summary

A-1 Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to independently prepare, manage, and coordinate cost estimates for commercial projects under the Chief Estimator.

Primarily office-based with occasional site visits, you will analyze blueprints and specs, perform takeoffs in ProEst, and prepare bid submissions. Requirements include an electrical apprenticeship certificate or 3+ years of construction estimating experience, proficiency with ProEst and Acumatica, and strong

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or 3+ years of construction-related experience in lieu of it.
• 2 years of electrical estimating experience and ability to read construction documents and blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and on-screen estimating; experience with ProEst (Accubid a plus).
• Strong mathematical and estimating skills with ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates for commercial electrical projects.
• Complete a full on-screen electrical material take-off in ProEst.
• Set up project files, generate quote numbers in Acumatica, and import data back to Acumatica.
• Analyze blueprints/specs to develop time, cost, material, and labor estimates; compare subcontractor proposals.
