Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc. in Sanford, NC seeks an Electrical Estimator to handle estimating for the division. You will analyze blueprints, prepare cost and expenditure statements, write proposals, and assist in budgeting for multiple projects.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, post-secondary certificate preferred, and a minimum of 5 years electrical experience in industrial or commercial construction. Some overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years electrical experience in industrial or commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of electrical estimating including composing BOMs, takeoffs, inputting data, submitting RFIs, and writing proposals.
• Assist the senior estimator to coordinate and streamline the bid process on each project.
• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness and track actual costs relative to bids as projects develop.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and construction teams to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Review estimates with division and project managers after contracts are awarded.
• Prepare budgets and schedules of values for awarded projects.
