Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and contract docs.
• Experience with electrical estimating software and tools.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, drawings, and contract docs to understand scope.
• Perform accurate electrical takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Prepare detailed estimates for new construction, renovations, and ongoing work.
• Demonstrate understanding of electrical systems, equipment, methods, and terms.
• Use estimating software to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, VE opportunities affecting pricing.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subs, and partners.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and operations.
• Participate in bid reviews and support transition from estimating to PM.
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and estimating docs.
• Actively pursue and support new project opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to understand project scope and requirements
• Perform accurate, thorough electrical takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
• Prepare detailed estimates for new construction, renovations, and ongoing electrical projects.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, installation methods, materials, and industry terminology
• Utilize electrical estimating software to develop accurate and competitive estimates
• Identify scope gaps, potential risks, value-engineering opportunities, and other factors that may affect project pricing.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other industry partners
• Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, and other members of the operations team.
• Participate in bid reviews and assist with the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project management.
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and estimating documentation
• Actively pursue and support new project opportunities

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials and systems
• Experience with electrical estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Accubid estimating software
• Electrical project management experience
• Previous electrical field experience
• Established vendor and subcontractor relationships
• Experience developing and maintaining positive client relationships
