Job summary

Slifco Electric, a premier electrical contractor in Missouri, is seeking an Electrical Estimator to help secure projects across automotive, heavy industrial and data center sectors. You’ll prepare competitive estimates and collaborate with leadership during preconstruction.

This role requires strong electrical estimating experience, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with estimating software; relocation assistance is provided for New Florence, MO.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience or strong electrical construction background.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software platforms.
• Data Center project experience (preferred).
• Accubid experience (preferred).
• Journeyman Electrician License (preferred).
• Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for industrial projects.
• Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed material take-offs and labor analysis.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during preconstruction.
• Maintain organized, clear, and defensible estimate documentation.
• Support project handoff to operations teams after award.

Slifco Electric is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations.

As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in helping Slifco Electric secure successful projects by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-structured estimates.

You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and project teams during preconstruction while helping shape project strategy before the first wire is ever pulled.
