My client is seeking a highly skilled electrical estimator to join our dynamic team. The electrical estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for direct-hire industrial construction projects, primarily focusing on electrical scopes of work. This individual should understand Enerfab's competitive advantages and effectively communicate those strengths throughout the estimating and bidding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Project estimating coordination across all scopes while leading an estimate.
• Write Supplier and Subcontractor Requests for Pricing.
• Lead electrical estimates and assign tasks.
• Customer interaction.
• Develop and write a construction execution plan as well as associated indirect costs.
• Develop manpower loading chart.
• Site visits and job preconstruction meeting attendance if needed.
• Attend weekly estimating meetings.
• Attend and conduct internal review meetings.
• Attend and conduct executive review meetings.
• Attend and conduct project turnover meetings with operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of estimating experience in construction, including experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or journeyman electrician credentials.
• Electrical construction installation knowledge.
• Industry knowledge in commercial, data center, manufacturing, industrial, power, oil and gas, food/beverage/agriculture, and water sectors.
• Experience preparing conceptual estimates, high- and low-voltage electrical estimates, design-build estimates, square-foot estimates, and unit-price proposals.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with engineering design documents and specifications.
• Competence with the National Electrical Code.
• Experience providing estimate breakdowns to support P6 scheduling.Estimating software knowledge: Trimble Accubid Anywhere and Classic.
• Possess leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate estimating efforts across cross-functional teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• When the employee is at a work site, they are regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
• This position requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, which is normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexible working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
