Job summary

Gettle Incorporated in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to determine projected costs for commercial and industrial electrical bids. The role requires evaluating labor, materials, location, duration, and special requirements to generate accurate estimates.

You will review data, prepare itemized cost lists, analyze blueprints, assist in purchasing, and support project managers at meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Five years of electrical estimating experience.
• Valid driver's license for travel to job sites or meetings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction-specific software programs.
• Ability to navigate construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and exposure to heights.
• Ability to walk long distances on uneven terrain for pre-bid or site reviews.
• Able to work in extreme weather and lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review project data and develop methods to execute work timely and productively.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, organizing, scheduling bids, and selecting vendors/subcontractors.
• Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements and obligations.
• Assist in purchasing materials, services and subcontracts.
• Identify change orders and relay information to the project manager and foreman.
• Attend project meetings as required.
• Maintain safety and respond to site conditions in a vigilant manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Gettle is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to determinate the projected costs of electrical projects. Incumbents must accurately factor all potential costs involved in electrical bids including labor, materials, location, job duration, and other special requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and/or industrial electric, or low voltage electric.

Electrical Estimator | Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Electrical Estimator | Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Five years of electrical estimating experience required.
• Valid driver's license required to travel to job sites or out-of-office meetings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction-specific software programs.
• Must be able to navigate construction sites consisting of uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.
• Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain as needed for pre-bid or construction site meetings and reviews.
• Able to work in atmospheric conditions such as extreme cold, heat, humidity, and various weather conditions.
• Must be able lift objects up to 50 pounds.
