Job summary

L.K. Jordan & Associates in Corpus Christi, TX, is expanding with a new electrical division and seeks an Electrical Commercial Estimator to join our growing team and help shape estimates for a broad range of commercial projects.

You will analyze plans, manage bids, ensure NEC and Texas code compliance, and work with PMs and field teams to drive profitability. Minimum 5 years of experience and proficiency with Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, ConEst).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and blueprints.
• Familiarity with NEC and Texas electrical codes.
• Ability to analyze plans, drawings, and specs for cost estimates.
• Ensure project profitability and accuracy.

We’re expanding our operations and launching a new electrical division within a thriving commercial MEP contracting company — and we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Commercial Estimator to join our team.

As part of this exciting new department, you’ll play a key role in shaping our estimating processes, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of every bid we submit.

• Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare precise electrical cost estimates
• Perform detailed cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment
• Work closely with project managers and field teams to ensure project accuracy and profitability
• Maintain compliance with local building codes, NEC standards, and safety regulations
• Develop and manage multiple bids and proposals simultaneously
• Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical estimating experience
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, or similar)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction documents
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with NEC and Texas electrical codes
• Must pass a federal background check, have a clean MVR, and pass a drug screen
• Competitive pay range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, based on experience
