Job summary

Project Talent Partners is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a Dallas preconstruction team working on commercial, industrial and mission-critical projects across Texas.

The role focuses on preparing accurate estimates, quantity take-offs, risk reviews and bids in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with PMs, suppliers and clients to ensure thorough, competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience estimating electrical construction projects.
• Experience with commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical construction practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience producing estimates ranging from $1M to $20M+ projects.
• Proficient with estimating software such as Accubid, Accubid Anywhere, ConEst or McCormick.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical estimates from drawings, specifications and bid documents.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs.
• Review plans and identify scope gaps and potential risks.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop conceptual budgets and value engineering options.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits where required.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations and business development teams.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical pricing and vendor relationships.
• Assist with handover meetings following successful bids.

The Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, industrial and mission-critical electrical construction projects. You'll work closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, suppliers and clients to ensure bids are thorough, competitive and delivered on time.
