Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team for major utility and infrastructure projects in Columbus, OH. You will lead detailed estimates for high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution work, using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Accubid.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of electrical estimation experience in construction, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of electrical systems and industry practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimation, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficient in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Accubid.
• Extensive knowledge of high voltage substations, electric power transmission, electrical transmission, and EHV transmission lines.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, products, and the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for construction projects based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and compute data related to construction projects, such as material cost, labor cost, and timeframes.
• Utilize software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Accubid to create and modify electrical estimates.
• Evaluate and recommend electrical systems and products based on specifications, test data, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand the scope and requirements of the project.
• Review and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for high-voltage substations, electrical transmission lines & distribution, and utility-scale projects.
