Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Electrical Estimator to join our Davison, MI team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, analyze blueprints, and coordinate with contractors and clients to deliver cost-efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of electrical estimating experience, strong mathematical ability, and proficiency with Procore. This on-site role offers growth opportunities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a professional with a strong background in the construction industry, specifically in electrical estimating. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, analyzing blueprints, and coordinating with contractors and clients to provide efficient and cost-effective solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, cost estimating, job costing, and project estimating. You will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including material and labor costs.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Use specialized software such as Procore for project management and estimating.
• Conduct material takeoffs and prepare bids for new projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates.
• Evaluate and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Provide regular updates to project teams and management about the progress of the estimate.
• Lead the bid preparation process, including the preparation of cost summaries and proposal documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related role within the construction industry.
• Proficient in electrical estimating software, Procore, and blueprint reading.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, cost estimating, job costing, and project estimating.
• Familiarity with electrical code compliance and safety regulations.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Proven track record of successfully estimating and completing electrical construction projects.
