Job summary

In Charge Electrical Services, LLC is looking for an Electrical Estimator based in Austin, TX. This full-time role involves performing take-offs, evaluating electrical plans, and managing vendor quotes. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of electrical construction and the National Electric Code, along with 3+ years of experience in residential construction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical residential construction preferred.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform full take off by scraping plans and counting fixtures.
• Evaluate plans and pictures to construct an accurate proposal.
• Send quotes out to vendors and enter them into the estimating system.

Knowledge of Electrical construction

Effective written and oral communication

Tracking numbers and data relevant to assignments

Education

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full take off by scraping plans, counting fixtures and electrical equipment and entering information into the estimating system
• A basic understanding of electrical remodel work and the ability evaluate plans and pictures to construct an accurate proposal
• Send quotes out to vendors
• Enter and price quotes from vendors into estimating system
• Assist in scoping (checking bids for completeness)
• Assist in creating proposals for General Contractors
• Come up with qualifications based off the drawings they scrapes
• Explain deviations from drawings to General Contractor
• Answer general questions from the contractor about their estimate
• Maintain open communication lines with all working relationships
• Earn and maintain customer’s trust

• Knowledge of Electrical construction
• Knowledge of National Electric Code

• Tracking numbers and bits of data relevant to the work assignment
