Job summary

In Charge Electrical Services, LLC is seeking a Remodel Estimator to join the Estimating department. This full-time position focuses on takeoffs, plan evaluation, and vendor quotes within electrical remodel projects at our HQ location.

You will price quotes, assist in scoping, and prepare proposals for GC’s while maintaining clear communication with contractors. A background in electrical residential construction and NEC knowledge are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical construction.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Tracking numbers and data relevant to the work assignment.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen.
• High school diploma or the equivalent Electrical Journeyman or Wireman’s license preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical residential construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full take off by scraping plans, counting fixtures and electrical equipment and entering information into the estimating system.
• Evaluate plans and pictures to construct accurate proposals for electrical remodel work.
• Send quotes out to vendors.
• Enter and price quotes from vendors into estimating system.
• Assist in scoping by checking bids for completeness.
• Assist in creating proposals for General Contractors.
• Develop qualifications based on drawings they scrape.
• Explain deviations from drawings to General Contractor.
• Answer general questions from the contractor about their estimate.
• Maintain open communication with all working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Send quotes out to vendors
• Enter and price quotes from vendors into estimating system

• Come up with qualifications based off the drawings they scrapes
• Explain deviations from drawings to General Contractor
• Answer general questions from the contractor about their estimate

• Earn and maintain customer’s trust
