Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates and overall cost forecasting for prospective projects.
• Perform take-offs from drawings and conduct site visits to assess constructability.
• Develop project estimate plans with preconstruction leadership and project team.
• Collaborate with clients, GC partners, and design teams to gather estimate data.
• Conceptually estimate projects from historical data and limited design information.
• Identify materials and equipment types and ensure plan/spec compliance.
• Submit RFIs and flag constructability concerns in estimates.
• Prepare bid packages and obtain pricing from subs and vendors.

Job description

Needed immediately: An Estimator in Atlanta, GA. In this position as Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates and bid packages for electric and other low voltage systems such as security systems, structured cabling systems, audio-visual systems, and nurse-call systems. The ideal candidate has strong analytical, assessment, and mathematical skills. Great attention to detail and communication skills are necessary as Electrical Estimators typically collaborate with a team. Lastly, candidates must be highly organized with excellent time management.

Required

• Associates degree
• 7+ years of experience working as an electrical estimator.
• Experience in estimating projects of more than $20+ million.
• Healthcare, Industrial or Mission Critical project experience preferred.
• Unlimited Electrical License is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation/repairs, materials, and code requirements.
• Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Trimble AccuBid Anywhere and LiveCount applications.
• Must be able to read and understand Engineered Drawings and Wiring Diagrams.
• Experience with contract documents such as subcontracts and contract addendums.
• Critical thinker who can assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Ability to manage time well, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
