RW Sullivan Engineering in Boston is seeking Electrical Engineers at staff to team-lead levels to join our growing building engineering practice. You will lead design, planning and execution on high-visibility projects, and represent the firm in client meetings while supervising a team of designers and drafters.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on projects, coordinating with PM and team leaders as appropriate.
• Design and produce system drawings, specs and narratives; attend meetings and site walk-throughs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and consultants to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Provide QA/QC oversight per company standards and inform PM of progress.
• Opportunity to serve as Project Manager on large-scale projects.

We are looking for multiple Electrical Engineers to join our team at all levels from Staff Engineer to Team Leader. Exceptional culture, above market pay and benefits.

Job Description:

In this key position we are looking for Electrical Engineers who will be responsible for design, planning and engineering of critical, high visibility projects. Representing the company in client facing meetings you will be the lead engineer, supervising a team of designers and drafters. There will be an opportunity to perform as Project Manager on important large scale projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Engineer on projects, Coordinating Project Manager and Team Leader as appropriate.
• Responsible for the design and production of systems; including but not limited to attending meetings and site walk-throughs, performing site surveys, coordination with other disciplines/consultants, and preparation of narratives/reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Assigned Engineering aspects of projects
• Technical content of contract documents, including drawings, specs, report, etc.
• Reviewing conceptual design with the Team Leader and/or Technical Director for Completion of projects/tasks to meet dates on the job list that they are assigned to.
• Coordination with the project manager and other team members on all technical aspects of the project.
• Ensuring work is within the scope of the proposal and on budget
• Ensuring Quality Assurance/Quality Control process is carried out per RWS standards and informing PM

Education and Experience:

• BSEE
• Revit
• AutoCAD

Qualifications:

• Possess a strong technical background, and knowledge of systems and their applications for various commercial, institutional, medical, and public buildings such as healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, and large mixed-use residential buildings and hotels.
• Some knowledge and understanding of state building codes, energy codes and NFPA codes.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients.
• PE is preferred, not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
